Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise kitchen staff.
Ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations during
cardroom hours.
Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation,
maintaining high standards while considering cost-effectiveness.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and
guidelines.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure kitchen equipment and
workspaces meet sanitation standards.
Train and educate kitchen staff on proper food handling and
safety protocols.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food
costs to maximize profitability.
Implement cost-control measures to minimize waste and reduce
expenses.
Track and analyze sales data to make informed decisions
about menu pricing and offerings.
Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a
positive and productive work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and
address any performance issues.
Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety
protocols and practices.
Address and report any safety concerns promptly.
Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure seamless
service and a positive guest experience.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding food
quality or service promptly and professionally.
Assist in creating and managing the kitchen budget,
including labor and food costs.
May require some lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing and
walking for prolonged periods of time.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a
fast-paced restaurant or food service setting.
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of diverse cuisines.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Well organized and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule consisting of opening,
closing, weekends, and holidays.
ServSafe certification.
